For basic cabinet cleaning, you can use vinegar for cleaning wood kitchen cabinets. Place it in a squirt bottle as spray cleaner for your wooden cabinets. Spray and wipe the cabinets down after a minute with a bit damp sponge. Vinegar for cabinet cleaning is useful to cut grease and greasy film building up near cooking area. It can remove odors as well. As an alternative to vinegar, you can use oil soap or natural dish soap made from plant-based materials; mix a few squirts in a bowl of water.
For stubborn spots such as food debris or built-up grime, simply mix salt and vinegar into a paste. Use the paste to scrub the areas with a microfiber cloth or toothbrush. Don’t use abrasives that may scratch the wood cabinet finish. If the spots still linger after scrubbing, hold a sponge or cloth dipped in vinegar over the spot, and then scrub again with the same vinegar-and-salt paste.
To remove dried gooey materials, you can harden them first by holding a bag of ice over the spot until the matter hardens. When the materials have hardened, scrape them away using the edge of plastic knife, a piece of card stock, or bowl of plastic spoon. Get rid of the remaining residue by spraying it with vinegar.
